Watch Night Services–December 31, 2021

Please join us December 31, 2021 10pm-12am midnight

Mount Calvary Baptist Church on GA HWY 99, Townsend, GA for Watch Night Services.

Watch Night Services will begin at 10pm and end at midnight. This year, we will not be shouting after church services due to Covid. Please join us for Watch Night Services though and we can watch the new year begin together. We wish you all a happy, healthy, blessed new year!

While the McIntosh County Shouters have been performing in public since 1980, they have been practicing the ring shout since the 18th century. This age-old tradition has been passed down from generation to generation in this family since their ancestors arrived in bondage over 300 years ago.
